French Chic & Slim

Happy Easter Day
Decorative napkins make my teatime special. I was lucky recently to receive some Easter-themed ones (and the matching luncheon napkins) as a gift. The colorful eggs on the napkins remind me of all the fun I had as a child dying Easter eggs for the Sunday school Easter egg hunt held at our church every year on Good Friday. Remember those little decals that always came in the package of Easter egg dye?
The golden biscuit on the napkin is an absolutely scrumptious one from a box of Les Galettes de Pont-Aven, a very buttery cookie made in France (Produit en Bretagne / Made in Brittany). These biscuits were part of that package of French food items I received last December. I save them for special teatimes.
For something to read with tea,the May/June 2016 Victoria just arrived in the mail. It is the Special French Issue with so many interesting articles accompanied by lovely photos. The Charm of French Style, A Chic Parisian Apartment, Romantic Châteaux, and a look at a French antique shop — among the offerings.

I hope all of you have had a lovely and relaxing day — perhaps with some good food and pretty things to help make the day special.
